About Us
A college student completing a summer internship. A Nepalese man wandering around the city square hoping to strike some luck. God merges together the unlikeliest of people to do something great.
It was the summer of 2014, and RaBaHadur had spent the last three months walking two and a half miles each day to the city square in Nepal on a mission to raise money for his newly founded orphanage. He was desperate and unsuccessful at every turn. On one of these days, he met Tyler and graciously asked if he’d be interested in providing support. As touched as Tyler was, he declined. But the story was only beginning.
RaBaHadur invited Tyler to visit his wife, Mina, and the children at his orphanage. Tyler agreed and felt burdened to share the Gospel with the family. God was weaving together every thread of this story. On his visit, Mina heard the Gospel, renounced her Hindi religion, and accepted Jesus as her savior. RaBaHadur didn’t make the same decision that day, but after being miraculously healed of a severe infection, he came to the belief that Jesus is all-powerful and worthy of being trusted.
As excited as RaBaHadur and Mina were to follow Jesus, it became apparent that the family’s spiritual needs were not the only ones crying out for provision. They were suffering from extreme poverty, and with no outside support, they were in a hopeless situation with ten children to care for daily. Out of this need, Planted Oaks was created with the vision to bring the love of Jesus Christ to the orphans and outcasts in all the nations, beginning with this family in Nepal.
“This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters. If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity of them, how can the love of God be in that person? Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.” —1 John 3:16
Today, Planted Oaks is serving orphans by meeting their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs through the generous support of others. These children know the love of God and finally have a place to call home.
We are devoted to bringing holistic gospel transformations through the love of Jesus Christ to the orphans and outcasts in Nepal.
Because of your support, we’re able to care for these children in great and important ways.

What We Believe
Above all else, we desire each child to love and follow Jesus all their days. It is our priority to share these live-changing truths with them and equip them to grow spiritually.
-
We believe there is one God, who eternally exists in three persons — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
-
We believe the 66 books of the Old and New Testament are the authoritative Word of God based on an inspired text without error in the autographs. “Autograph” is a theological term referring to the original Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek manuscripts of Scripture.
-
We believe in the full deity and humanity of Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father where He intercedes for us, and in His personal return in power and glory.
-
We believe all human beings are lost and sinful by nature. Consequently, salvation can only be accomplished by God’s grace through regeneration and justification by the Holy Spirit. Salvation cannot be earned. It is a gift from God, received only by faith in Jesus Christ.
-
We believe the indwelling Holy Spirit works the regeneration, sanctification and preservation of the Christian. His ministry is to glorify Jesus Christ and empower the believer for godly living and service.
-
We believe the Church is the body of Christ of which He is the Head.
-
We believe in the bodily resurrection of the saved unto eternal life and the lost to eternal condemnation.
